Articulate Engineering
Engineering isn’t always the most straightforward topic, but the team at Articulate are on a mission to change that, to make the complex simple. With over a decade of previous industry experience, they were after a full brand and identity design, including a website, to showcase the new company and its services.
Through a considered typography pairing and a soft yet neutral colour scheme, we’ve conveyed Articulate Engineering’s human-centred approach, while simultaneously illustrating professionalism and instilling trust.

Articulate may be proactive and forward-thinking, but the company is inspired by a rich heritage of engineering excellence. Founder Mark Williams has followed in the footsteps of his paternal grandfather, a self-made structural engineer, and Articulate stands as a continuation of this legacy.
Therefore, we chose to blend touches of the old with the new throughout the website, mixing computer generated imagery with hand-drawn illustrations.

We created a number of logo options to form a cohesive brand across diverse applications. It felt important to create the wordmark in lowercase, to once again illustrate Articulate’s friendliness and people-focused ethos.

We created a fresh tone of voice that feels confident, coherent and professional, instilling trust in the brand and their level of service. This is used across the website, social media pages and any other marketing touch points.
Visually, the stripped-back colour scheme nods towards technology and lighting, with black, white and a series of neon blues that pop from the background. In a similar vein, we chose a primary font inspired by the typography of the industrial era, referencing Present’s highly technical nature.

Being experts in video presentation, we felt it was important to create a dynamic animated logo for Present. The animation features a layering of three simple shapes which come together to form a more complex image. This is a direct reference to the multifaceted work that goes into every event that Present work on.

Our people-focused tone of voice brought a guiding, human touch to the often impersonal world of property.
This ethos filtered through to the website refresh, where we added an advice section. With tips for buyers, sellers, renters and landlords, these new pages put Oakhill’s community first.
We’re invested in our community and dedicated to the partnerships we forge with the people who live here.

We developed brand consistency over multiple touch points.

Situated in prime position on Balham High Road, 180 Balham brings 5 new, modern apartments behind a statement façade of glazed, green tiles and bronze window frames.
Welcome to the high life.
We developed the tone of voice to be playful and creative, but direct. Short and sweet statements that get to the point in a way that matches the sentiment of Balham, an area that offers constant choice, vibrance and fun.

Our vibrant photography style spoke to the warmth of the local area, highlighting the people and details just as much as the bigger picture.

Throughout the brochure’s key messaging, we played with rhyme to create pace within the copy, echoing the liveliness of Balham.

SANDI KIDS
Sandi Kids was born when two new mothers were let down by the babywear options on the high street. It seemed as though their children were being placed in well-defined boxes before they’d even been born.
Our narrative ‘Clothes for the undefinable generation’ perfectly captures their mission. Which we combined with an identity that reflects their warm and playful nature, alongside a beautifully-curated online presence.

For little ones
with lots to say.
When the passion to create comes from a place so personal, the brand story and key messaging of Sandi Kids needed to reflect that: ‘We want little people with big personalities to feel free to be themselves. Not defined by their clothes, but uplifted by them.’
When creating the visual identity we were inspired by the simplicity and style of the first collection. This inspiration is reflected both in the unique wordmark and brought to life through a playful animation.

As Sandi Kids is an online business, visited purely via screens, we developed a monogram to use across all devices when the full logo would be too small.

With the site’s history at the forefront of the brand story we were tasked to bring it to the modern day and appeal to the young professionals of south-west London that want to take full advantage of its excellent location.
We developed a brand language that’s both mature and playful, storytelling throughout a 36 page brochure, full site hoarding and website.
A place to play.
Our key messaging fused the toy-making past with Fulham’s liveliness today. A place ‘with colourful rows of independent restaurants and shops, mixologists inventing fresh and fizzing creations on every corner.’ We sought to locate Toy Makers Yard in an ever-changing playground of inspiration.
